'Network' takes top honors again in Trivia contest

A veteran team has repeated as
champion of the 40th annual self-proclaimed world’s largest trivia contest.
Defending champions The Usual Suspects...Network earned 9,890 points to
defeat Dad’s Computers: Trivia Is the Word by 525 points. Festivus For The
Rest of Us finished third with 9,360 points.
Organizer Jim Oliva said Monday the Network team has won the contest 20
times. The team has 30 members who play from a home in Stevens Point. It
includes players from the Madison area, Boston and Minneapolis.
The 54-hour marathon of the mind ended Sunday. It attracted 417 teams and
more than 10,000 players. The contest involves eight questions read every
hour on WWSP 90FM, the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point radio station.
