Wis. Team Wins 'Largest Trivia Contest'
STEVENS POINT, Wis. (AP) Twenty Wisconsin residents have won what's billed as the "world's largest trivia contest" for the 15th time in 22 years.
The 54-hour marathon ended at midnight Sunday. It attracted more than 400 teams and 12,061 participants who answered trivia questions involving, among other topics, actor Robert Redford, singer Bob Dylan and the CBS reality show "Survivor."
The question that topped off the game noted that reporters asked "Survivor's" Richard Hatch ridiculous questions after he won last year's million-dollar prize, including one about something that happened with Sonja in the second episode even though she had been ousted after the first episode.
"What was the first and last name of the reporter that asked that question?"
The answer? Josh Tyrangiel from Time magazine.
