The University of WisconsinStevens Point “The World’s Largest Trivia Contest” will be held April 20, 21, & 22, 2012 in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. The contest is an annual event that
How the Contest is Played: Starting at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, the first day of the
contest, and continuing for 54 straight hours, questions are broadcast over the University
of WisconsinStevens Points radio station WWSP (89.9). Eight questions are asked each
hour (sometimes ten questions) and teams usually have the duration of two songs to call in with the correct answer.
2012 April 20, 21, 22 While most of the contest is made up of questions broadcast over the
radio airwaves, several questions will be asked about photographs contained in The New
Trivia Times. A copy of The New Trivia Times will be provided
to you when you register your team. Visit
the official trivia site for a look at the detailed rules. Scores and phone room coverage are broadcast on the UWSP cable
television channel throughout the contest. Early Monday morning, at the conclusion of the contest, the top ten
teams receive trophies. In addition, the winning team receives a traveling
trophy. How You Can Participate: You can participate by registering for the contest and locating
yourself within the radio broadcast range of WWSP 89.9 FM. Most teams
work out of private homes or hotels. You can have as many people on your
team as you would like as there is no limit. The registration fee is typically $30 or so with the money targeted for
the University radio station general operations budget. You can register
in person the week of the contest right up to the starting time of the
contest (6:00 pm). You are encouraged to be registered by 5:30 pm. Stevens Point is in the Central time zone. For more information, call WWSP 89.9 FM at 715-346-3755.

Stevens Point is located at the intersection of Interstate 39 and U.S.
10 in central Wisconsin, 3˝ hours north of Chicago.
