CNOF: Old and Dazed finished in second place at the April, 2001 University of WisconsinStevens Point Worlds Largest Trivia Contest. CNOF won the 1999 and 2000 contests.
CNOF finished 100 points behind Network (playing as Network 2001: Time After Tim) with 8505 points in playing Trivia 32: Old Days. Tin Man was third with 7625 points. Teams accumulated far fewer points this year as the retro-hours triggered a reverse inflation of question point values. During the retro-hours, teams could guess as many times as they wished or until they got the question correct. Many questions were worth only 10 or 15 points during those hours and teams found their point totals reduced by about 20% over previous years. In addition to the usual trophies given to the top ten teams, a 32nd place trophy was given out to the team finishing in 32nd place. Next year, contest number 33, will reward the team finishing in 33rd place with a trophy. Starting at 6:00 p.m. on the Friday of Trivia weekend and continuing for 54 straight hours, questions are broadcast from the University of WisconsinStevens Points radio station WWSP (89.9). Eight questions are asked each hour and teams have two songs worth of time to call in with the correct answer. Some hours had as many as ten questions and two hours had four questions asked. Teams are allowed only one call and only one guess for each question, except during the retro-hours. The team with the most points at the end of the contest wins. Question point values are determined by the number of teams submitting a correct answer. The next contest will be held April 19-21, 2002.
